Who I am
I'm Tommy Saunders. I build operating systems for businesses that have outgrown their tools. Eight years ago that meant Salesforce and Excel; today it means agentic pipelines, MCP servers, and tonal interfaces.
Most of what I ship is invisible. The visible part is what you're reading — the essays, the canvas, the report at /windfield-io. The invisible part is the 9-phase pipeline that wrote it.
I work from Kansas City. I write to think, not to publish. Everything on this site is something that survived a real production run.

180ms beats 'fast'. 47 runs / 24h beats 'many'. 9-phase pipeline beats 'scalable'.

Surface every assumption
If a fact lives in a prompt, it shows up in the eyebrow. If it lives in a token, it shows up in the field list.

Audit points at every stage boundary
Pipelines checkpoint between phases. If phase N+1 has a bug, you don't re-run phase N. Idempotent at the seam.

Fallbacks are guaranteed, never optional
Every personalization rule has a P9 default. Every bound field renders something. Empty state is a design decision, not an oversight.
